Beginners: So you wanna be a music producer? You wanna start banging out sick, incredible sounding beats? You might not have any experience, any skill, or any equipment at all. You might think that puts you at a disadvantage. Well guess what? It doesn’t.
In fact, most people who start out, fail. You know why? Because they spend all their time worrying about getting the best equipment, and getting the top of the line production software. But here’s the thing, if you started out with all the professional equipment, you’d be too overwhelmed to start at all, and you’ll stop altogether.
The best thing to do, is start out with beginner to intermediate software straight from your computer, and maybe spend a hundred bucks on two things.
A small $50 midi keyboard (We’ll explain what that is, later) and a course that shows you exactly how to create the best sounding beats, and show you how to promote your beats so people can hear them. A good course like that will usually run you about $50. Anything less than that, probably won’t provide worthwhile information.
It really isn’t hard to start up, and lucky for you, you can follow the exact guideline of this site, to start making GREAT beats and getting them heard.
Intermediate producers: You know how to make beats. But are they making you good money, or getting heard by a decent amount of people? I’m sure they aren’t, right? The confused beat maker: You know how to make beats, but you know there’s much more you need. You think you need better equipment, you think you need to learn piano and piano chords so you can make melodies. You think a lot of things, but really.. all you need is the right information. You need to know the ins and outs of beat making. You’ve come to the right place.
The great producer: You know everything about making beats, people think your beats are great, you might have even gotten a few sales.. but you aren’t making a good amount of money out of your beats, and you haven’t gotten too many people to hear them. That’s not your fault. You’re a music producer, not a salesman/marketer. Good thing I am, and I’m a music producer too.
